Our insulators cater to the entire spectrum across sub-station and transmission & distribution segment. We specialize in the production of high strength equipment porcelains for use in SF6 circuit breakers, instrument transformers, condenser bushings, dis-connectors as well as insulators for traction system of the Indian Railways, and high-end transmission products up to 1200 kV voltage level.
Solid Core Station Post Insulators are comparatively lighter and have smaller diameters than other types of post insulators of similar voltage class. These are ideally suitable for compact installations, which results in slim & neat appearance and provide better harmony with other modern apparatus in any EHV/UHV substation. Additionally, they display superior antipollution performance, low RIV, better arc resistibility and lower deflection under cantilever load
Traction insulators are 25 KV OHE insulators manufactured for Indian Railways. These are solid core insulators suitable for normal and polluted zones and are designed as per RDSO specifications.
The design concept for hollow porcelains depends on the complete design of electrical equipment viz. circuit breakers, instrument transformers, condenser bushing or lightning arresters.
The design is finalized in consultation & close coordination with the equipment manufacturers so as to achieve desired electrical and mechanical requirements, and comply with dimensional tolerances as per Indian and international standards
Room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone coating on Porcelain insulators, is engineered to provide a highly hydrophobic surface for its entire life, thus limiting leakage current and preventing flashovers due to insulator contamination. The coating is not affected by UV light, corona discharge, chemical contaminants, salt, extreme temperatures or corrosive environments.
The benefits of RTV coated Porcelain insulators are two fold – Sturdiness of Porcelain insulators and pollution performance of Silicone insulators. It also reduces the O&M cost on account of frequent cleaning and washing of insulators in high pollution zones. Standard colour is Clay Grey or White. Customized colours can also be made available.
Suspension insulators (Porcelain Discs) are the most widely used insulators for transmission &distribution lines. Their design varies to suit different types of polluted zones and Electro-mechanical strength as per customer’s requirements
Pin insulators of one piece or multi piece construction are widely used in low cost distribution lines. Multi piece construction makes these insulators less vulnerable to damage. A multi piece insulator can normally withstand the line voltage for a considerable time without difficulty, even if one shell is broken.
We offer full range of pin insulators for application in sub-transmission and distribution lines up to a system voltage of 66 kV. These insulators have a creepage path which meets various requirements of pollution.
Suitable from the point of Interchangeability.
