The Indian Chemical Engineering Congress (CHEMCON-2021) and the 74th Annual Session of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) was held at Bhubaneswar during December 2021, and Aditya Birla Chemicals was proud to be a Gold Sponsor. With "Sustainable Utilisation of Resources for Chemical & Mineral Sectors" as the theme.
The event kicked off with the Inaugural on 26th December, where Dr Santrupt Misra, Group Director, Carbon Black; Director, Chemicals and Director, Group Human Resources, for the Aditya Birla Group, addressed the gathering. He spoke on the importance of sustainability and how we need to look at global standards to be perceived as a technologically vibrant global lab. At the inaugural, the CHEMCON souvenir was also launched.
In the subsequent days, we witnessed two Plenary Lectures by Mr. Shailendra Deshpande on “It Takes a Lot of Blue to Go Green - Harnessing & Optimizing One of The Most Critical Natural Resources : Water”, and by Dr. Daniel Suckley on “Water Based Epoxy Technologies for Metal Coating Applications”. We also had a CHEMCON Distinguished Speaker Session by Mr. S.N. Sastry on "Chemical Industry Perspective - Rejection to Sustaining Corporation and The Role of ESG in Corporate's Operational and HSE Integrated Performance”
With delegates from all over the world, lectures of impeccable quality and a well-attended exhibition, we ended the calendar year on a successful note.
