The phosphates division recognises occupational health and safety management system (OH&S) as an integral part of its business performance. It is committed to manufacture products, conduct operation and support in a manner that is responsible to the occupational health and safety of the employees. The phosphates division considers environmental issues in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the equipment and facilities. The division complies with relevant national environmental regulations and legislation.

The phosphates division is committed to achieve a high level of OH & S performance with compliance to legal requirement and continuous cost-effective improvement in performance. Adequate and appropriate resources are earmarked to implement the safety and environmental policy of the company. The management of occupational health and safety, right from the senior-most executive to the first line in the organisation, is the prime responsibility of the management. The OH & S policy is reviewed periodically and new processes and technologies are adopted constantly. The employees are encouraged to receive appropriate training, which ensures that they handle their professional responsibilities competently.
